Sandford Freight UK Limited is a privately owned and managed company providing an international freight forwarding and logistics service.

Sandford Freight was established in Ireland in 1979 when the founder of the company, Sean Sandford, opened a freight forwarding business at Dublin Airport.

The business grew rapidly based on our ethos of providing a personal service and ensuring that our customers’ requirements are always the number one priority. This has been the cornerstone of our business and a key ingredient of our success to this day.

The company was expanded in 1998 and opened an office at London Heathrow Airport. Following this expansion Roy Walker was appointed as a partner and Managing Director of the UK operation. Building on our initial formula for success – and ably supported by our ever-growing team of professional staff – we have continued to develop and expand our wide range of services specifically tailored to fit the UK market.

Collectively our staff have over 150 years’ experience in the international freight forwarding industry and understand the importance of our clients’ need for timely and cost effective solutions to their shipping requirements. We aim to satisfy these needs and our staff are highly trained and motivated to achieve the best possible logistical solutions for our clients.

Global economic pressures vary during the year, causing rates to increase and decrease accordingly. At Sandford Freight UK we are working closely with our suppliers to manage these changes and to provide cost effective solutions for our customers, based on mode of transport and regions.
